Concept
The design goal is to create a destination cultural landmark of exceptional quality between the two waterfront neighborhoods. Respect the legacy of the historic school and bring innovation to the new development, which creates mixed-use and flexible space on site.
Plan
The school itself serves as a legacy on a regional scale. The history of the surrounding community and neighborhood could not be neglected.
The new community will also act as a green space for the residents and the public. The mounding creates a waving feeling, the green collection of plants selection evokes the history of the old school. The courtyard aims to create a public and semi-public for both residents and visitors.
